I was just thinking about this today! I have such a hard time reaching out to people...it takes a lot for me to try, and if I get no response, it really hurts. :(
I actually expected the last panel to be kind of a repeat of the first one, with the giraffe getting frustrated! :D
Thank you for your comment, Raas, and you're certainly not alone in your feelings on reaching out - it's a more widespread phenomenon than most of us realize.
Hello Matt,I hope this finds you doing very well, and you weekend is going great.I really enjoyed you sharing your cartoon.I have a little boy 5 years old Zachary, and he is amazing as well.I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.Take care and God bless!
This is great! Even as a NT it's really intimidating to start conversations and meet new friends. But, I have to for my son, who's severely autistic. I love your cartoons, Matt. Thanks!

ReplyDeleteI thought everyone would still be afraid to post at the end too. This is much better!

ReplyDeleteYou're welcome, Kate! I think we would all like a new friend quickie mart.
ReplyDeleteYea! Good toothy smile. Sweet and satisfied -- not maniacal like showing a lot of teeth can look. Good post too! ;)
ReplyDeleteYeah, really, the extra-toothiness wasn't working.
