It's you and it's them! You don't fit into their small comfort zone. You make them feel uncomfortable and they don't like that. Their world only has room for those they understand, those that fit. You don't fit into that mold. And they won't make the effort to grow and enlarge their world. To try only makes them anxious. That's unacceptable to them.
This is very appropriate timing for something I was just thinking about, thanks! I think what helps me is that most people don't like *everyone,* NT people don't like or aren't liked by everyone, sometimes it just seems that way because it feels so difficult on this side of the spectrum.
Who says that AS and NT can't have common ground? This is one of the things that ties us, whether each person sees or wants to see it - well, that's a different subject entirely!
